Toccoa Falls College Hosted Annual Christmas Candlelight Concert
The TFC Music Department hosted its annual Candlelight Concert on Thursday in the Grace Chapel and Performing Arts Center. It was a night packed with Christmas cheer and a time to remember the true meaning of Christmas! The Concert Band performed “A Winter’s Carol,” a unique treatment of the Latin carol “O Come, O Come, Emmanuel,” “Celtic Carol,” a celebratory arrangement of “What Child is This?” by Robert W. Smith in a traditional Irish style, “In the Bleak Midwinter,” a traditional hymn composed by Gustav Holst and many more.
Those in attendance also heard from TFC’s Hand Bell Choice, String Orchestra, and College Choir.
Afterwards, TFC’s Jazz band performed a variety of Christmas works including, “O Holy Night,” “It Swings Upon a Midnight Clear,” “A Charlie Brown Christmas,” “The First Noel,” and “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” in Gate Cottage. Guests also enjoyed the Falls lit for the evening.
Thanks to all who came out to make this a special night!
