Toccoa Falls, Ga. (January 8, 2024) – Toccoa Falls College is pleased to announce that the Teacher Education Department (TED) has been approved for online specializations, including Elementary, Middle Grades (with concentrations in Math, Science, Social Studies, and English), Secondary History, and Secondary English. Additionally, TFC’s two teaching endorsements (K-12: Reading and English as a Second Language) will be available online. This exciting news allows students to pursue a teaching degree and/or endorsement online while developing professionally and spiritually at the Christian College of Georgia.

Toccoa Falls College currently offers seven on-campus content specializations areas within education, including Elementary, Middle Grades, Secondary (English, History, and Biology), and Music (Choral and Instrumental). With the changing demographics of the student population and the rise in online education options, TFC looks forward to offering online specializations in TED for students who prefer an online education. This program will launch in the fall of 2024, but students can take courses within an online pre-teacher education plan immediately.

The Teacher Education Department seeks to cultivate a uniquely Christian learning community through coursework which equips future servant leaders with knowledge of the diverse learners and content they will teach, skills in planning instruction, assessing, and managing, as well as character reflecting appropriate interaction with the school community and life-long learning. With the faculty support of candidates in their pursuit of truth with godly character on-campus, and now in an online format, TFC graduates are best prepared to teach where the Lord calls them, whether it be in a public, private, or an international school.
