Toccoa Falls, Ga. (March 4, 2024) – Toccoa Falls College is excited to announce that starting in Fall 2024, TFC will introduce the first season of Men and Women’s Golf. Recruits can look forward to the beautiful course offered in partnership with The Currahee Club, which is only a short drive from TFC’s campus. This will be TFC’s home course, a 7,513-yard championship golf course that features astonishing 360-degree panoramic views with four states seen from a single tee box. The Currahee Club is also providing unlimited use of the driving range, locker rooms, and full access to the clubhouse for our teams.

In addition to the Currahee Club’s generosity, TFC thanks the Knox Whiten Foundation for making this possible. Parker Whiten started this foundation in memory of his son, Knox, to “celebrate and support the sport and academic goals of students as they build relationships that inspire them to serve their community and excel in leadership.” Toccoa Falls College is honored to receive such a special gift and looks forward to its incredible impact on students’ lives!

Dr. Bob Myers, President of Toccoa Falls College, also said this, “We are very thankful for our partnership with the Knox Whiten Foundation. They have made it possible for us to launch our new golf program. We are also very grateful to Chris Bateman and the Currahee Club. Their love for the community made it possible for our home golf course and facilities to be located at the Currahee Club.”

Toccoa Falls College participates in the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) and offers sports that compete at the Division I and Division II levels. With Golf on the way, TFC Athletics will grow to ten teams: Men and Women’s sports, including Basketball, Soccer, Cross Country, and Golf, as well as Baseball and Women’s Volleyball. As the Christian College of Georgia, TFC aims to develop Godly character with intellect across all platforms, including athletics. TFC is a #KingChasing School, meaning Christ is at the center of the student-athlete experience and prioritizes the standards of Love, Integrity, Faith, and Excellence.
