Dr. Piljoo Kang and student Stephanie Solvig presented a paper, “Church Context: Perspectives from Adolescents, Mentors & Parents,” at the Psychology of Religion and Spirituality Pre-conference in Portland, Oregon on Feb. 7-9.  The paper included a qualitative analysis conducted to gain an in-depth understanding of the processes of spiritual development as well as the role of parents and church mentors in adolescents’ cultural identity development.

Stephanie is a senior in the Family and Children’s Ministry major.  She is currently working at the Clarkston Envision, a refuge ministry of the C&MA.  Professor Kang noted she is extremely proud of Solvig and all her hard work.
