Dr. Lee named Fuller E. Callaway Professorial Chair
Huge congratulations to TFC professor, Dr. You Ju Lee. Dr. Lee has been named as a Fuller E. Callaway Professorial Chair. Dr. Lee is a Professor of Piano at Toccoa Falls College and the first faculty member from TFC to receive a Callaway Endowed Chair. Not only does she inspire and motivate students in the classroom, she is also a world renowned pianist. When asked what her favorite aspect of teaching is she shared, “I strive to make sure my students always know that I believe in their God-given talents and that through hard work they can accomplish great things in serving the Lord through music.”
The Fuller E. Callaway Professorial Trust was created in 1968 by the Callaway Foundation, Inc. The goal has since been to provide funds to higher education institutions to enable them to retain and add superior faculty members. These chairs were named to honor Fuller E. Callaway, Sr., and are still known as the Fuller E. Callaway Professorial Chairs in special recognition of his unusual interest in education. He often said that the only man he feared was the ignorant man. “Educate a man and you can reason with him,” he said. “I am never afraid of the man who can think.”
TFC is so proud of Dr. Lee!
