2023 World Outreach Conference: Living for the Nations
This past week, Toccoa Falls College held its annual World Outreach Conference (WOC). The conference took place over the course of three days and connected students to what it means to live for the nations through a variety of sessions, panels, and events.
The conference launched with the parade of international flags during the community worship hour on Tuesday morning. The student worship team led the campus community in a powerful rendition of a song sung in three different languages simultaneously. Active missionaries in the Middle East concluded the opening session by sharing their experiences and reflections on serving others and living sacrificially for the sake of the gospel. Tuesday evening, Odyssey Coffeehouse hosted an International Coffee Hour that featured different coffee traditions from the around the world and a discussion panel.
WOC continued into Wednesday with another morning session followed by the International Fair in the evening. The International Fair was a celebration of international food and cultural traditions that also united students with mission representatives in fellowship surrounding the work of the global church.
In addition to the International Fair, TFC welcomed an abundance of organizations and missionaries to set up tables in the Parkerson Student Center to share about their gospel endeavors throughout the entirety of the conference. WOC 2023 officially concluded on Thursday morning with a final community worship session held in Grace Performing Arts Center.
The World Outreach Conference continues to be a great encourager for students to practice and connect with global ministry. It is inspiring to see the ways that this event is developing godly character within students’ lives and preparing them to live for the nations both presently and eternally.
