Toccoa Falls Registrar Wins Highly Selective Award

Toccoa Falls, Ga. (November 12, 2025) – Toccoa Falls College is honored to announce that Registrar Kelly Vickers has been chosen as the recipient of the Carol Nobles Distinguished Service Award by the Georgia Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (GACRAO). According to the association, “this highly selective and rarely given award may be conferred either to current members of the association whose contributions have been so extraordinary as to warrant special recognition while still active, or to individuals retiring from or leaving the profession whose contributions warrant special recognition.”

Mr. Kelly Vickers devoted many years to GACRAO and the Georgia Institute of Strategic Enrollment Management (GISEM), serving in various positions and committees, presenting case studies, and participating in peer review sessions.

Assistant Registrar, Aimee Womble, shared, “It is with great joy that I celebrate with you, Kelly Vickers, and his 40 years of dedication to Toccoa Falls College. He has served as the Registrar of Toccoa Falls College since 1986 and plans to retire next year, marking 40 years of service to the college. Kelly is not only deeply dedicated to our students, but he is also our Toccoa Falls College historian, as he holds the title of College Archivist on our campus. Kelly was a student during the 1977 flood that devastated Toccoa Falls College, and his passion for the history of our small town makes him a cornerstone in the Toccoa community.

Reflecting on Kelly’s lasting impact, Womble shared, “Kelly has strived to live with Christ-like integrity and a commitment to excellence in all that he does, both professionally and in his personal life. He has been instrumental in navigating changes in technology, administration, and academic policies. Kelly was a part of the first GISEM Class of 2007 and has presented in sessions several times at GACRAO. He has developed many friendships over the years through GACRAO with peer institutions. Luke Ellis (2024-2025 President of GACRAO) once referred to him as the “G.O.A.T.” to me, and I would agree that he will retire as one of the “Greatest Registrars of All Time.”

TFC extends its appreciation to Mr. Vickers for the many years of dedication and service to this institution, as well as congratulations on this remarkable achievement.
