Toccoa Falls College Launches Online Biology: Public Health Program
Toccoa Falls, Ga. (March 25, 2026) – Toccoa Falls College is pleased to announce the launch of a new online Biology degree program with a Public Health concentration, expanding opportunities for students to pursue impactful careers in community health, disease prevention, and global health initiatives.
The online Public Health concentration in the Biology major approaches rigorous scientific investigation as a natural outgrowth of a Christian worldview, facilitating the development of the knowledge, skills, and character necessary to produce graduates prepared to pursue careers or graduate study in ecology and environmental sciences. Students in this program will be prepared to serve the health needs of communities either locally or abroad. This concentration provides students with unique opportunities to integrate Christian faith with health education interventions. Understanding contemporary challenges in human health on a global scale will equip students to positively impact the societies in which they live and work while dealing with complex public health issues.
With a flexible online format, students can balance their education with personal and professional commitments while receiving the same Christ-centered, academically rigorous instruction that defines Toccoa Falls College. This program prepares students for careers in public health through roles such as health education, community health, emergency response, epidemiology, and data analysis, while also providing a strong foundation for graduate study in health informatics and health policy.
