TFC to Launch New Online Progam in Exercise Science Fall 2026

Toccoa Falls, Ga. (January 14, 2026) – Toccoa Falls College is excited to announce the launch of a new online degree, the Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science, officially beginning this fall. Exercise Science is the scientific study of human movement, function, and performance, examining how the body responds to physical activity across health, performance, and recovery contexts. Students build a strong foundation in biology, anatomy, physiology, and the natural sciences before applying principles of exercise physiology, motor development, and conditioning within a distinctly Christian worldview.

Graduates are prepared for careers as exercise physiologists, strength and conditioning coaches, fitness trainers, or recreational therapists in healthcare, sports, wellness, fitness, and educational settings, with many roles available immediately after graduation. With intentional planning and additional preparation, the program also serves as an excellent pathway to graduate or pre-professional programs in athletic training, occupational therapy, or physical therapy, fields that continue to experience job growth well above the national average.

Dr. Brian Peek, Chair, Department of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, expands on the program, stating,

“The Exercise Science program at TFC is designed for students who want to improve lives through movement, health, and human performance while staying grounded in their faith. It’s a place where science, technology, and service come together—where we study how the body works, why wellness matters, and how to help others thrive, all through a biblical lens that all humans are made in the image of God.”
