TFC Prepares for Welcome Week 2025

Toccoa Falls, GA (July 9, 2025) – Each fall, Toccoa Falls College hosts Welcome Week, which ushers in new and returning students to an exciting academic year with community and connection. This event is a long-standing tradition designed to help students transition smoothly into campus life and begin to feel at home at TFC.

The week kicks off with Move-In Day into the residence halls. Check-in will begin at 9 a.m. at Gate Cottage, where students will complete any remaining paperwork, learn about orientation, receive a t-shirt, and have their student ID photo taken.  Assisting with unloading vehicles is an excellent opportunity for available staff to serve and participate! Community Chapel will begin at 4 p.m. for students and families to attend a memorable time of worship.

Full of fun and meaningful events throughout the week, students will have many opportunities to interact with college administrators and student leadership. Additionally, students will have the chance to meet faculty members during Major Mixers—special events designed to introduce students to their intended program of study.

This welcoming time fosters a sense of community and belonging for new Screaming Eagles through Orientation—a special period set aside for them to learn how to thrive at Toccoa Falls College using the many resources available. The weekend is filled with fun events such as the Back to School Bash, a hike to Little Falls, trivia night, and dodgeball tournaments, all designed to help students build new friendships and connect with current students.

As Toccoa Falls College prepares to welcome returning students and greet those beginning a new journey, we invite you to join us in prayer for the upcoming academic year—that God’s presence would go before them and dwell among them, guiding faculty and staff as they teach and lead with excellence and compassion.
