TFC Now Offers Additional Major: Environmental Science & Sustainability

Toccoa Falls, GA. (April 23, 2025) – Toccoa Falls College is thrilled to announce a new major being offered in Environmental Science & Sustainability! This exciting addition to our degrees and programs offers students the opportunity to integrate the natural and social sciences, equipping them to address today’s most pressing environmental challenges. Rooted in a biblical worldview, the program emphasizes the Christian responsibility to steward God’s Creation with wisdom, care, and integrity.

This program is a perfect fit for students seeking degrees or future careers in the field of sustainability, differing from the missional approach of the Sustainable Community Development program at TFC. Graduates will be equipped for a diverse range of local and global career paths.

Dr. Brian Peek, Chair, Department of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, shares his perspective on the program’s mission and impact, stating:

“The Environmental Science & Sustainability program at TFC is designed for students who want to make a meaningful difference in the world while staying grounded in their faith. It’s a place where science and stewardship go hand in hand—where we explore environmental challenges through the lens of Scripture and prepare students to lead with both competence and conviction.”
