Toccoa Falls College is incredibly excited to announce we will be launching our Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy this Fall (pending approval by SACSCOC). The MAMFT is a 61-credit hour program that develops clinicians with the skills and knowledge to provide ethical, competent, and compassionate therapy for individuals, marriages, and families within a multicultural, integrated Christian framework. This is an online program, allowing graduate learners to balance academic, professional, and personal life commitments.

Not only does this program seek to help students gain in-depth knowledge of the subject, students will also appreciate the importance of employing global awareness and facilitate a broader understanding of diverse perspectives and other cultures when conducting therapy. Students will analyze and apply the course material in critical thinking, case conceptualization, problem solving, and decision making, consistent with a biblical worldview. Upon graduation, students will be prepared to sit for the national board exam to become a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). Students are also able to add two additional courses to their program that would prepare students to sit for the national board exam to become a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). Because of TFC’s desire to provide quality Christian care to those in our community, we will also be offering a shorter Graduate Certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy for those who want to benefit from these courses in their ministry, mission, or educational setting!

When asked about our MAMFT program, Dr. Elizabeth Beech, Director of Graduate Studies, says, “We are very excited to announce the launch of our Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy (MAMFT) this fall! It is a program that has been long anticipated as the natural extension of our excellent undergraduate Counseling Psychology program. As God leads, I hope you will join us as we launch the MAMFT as part of our growing Graduate Studies Division!”
