Toccoa Falls College is honored to recognize Dr. Kenneth Turner, Professor of Old Testament and Hebrew, as the 2022 recipient of the Wade Distinguished Scholar Faculty Award.

Since coming to TFC in 2016, Dr. Turner has earned a reputation among students as a professor who both challenges their thinking and cares deeply for their well-being. In addition to several articles and book chapters, he has co-authored a book on interpreting Genesis 1 and his commentary on Habakkuk will be published later this year. Dr. Turner is a sought-after speaker and panelist on such topics as interpreting the Old Testament, the relationship between the Bible and science, and a biblical view of sexuality. One of his strengths is bringing this wealth of scholarly experience into the classroom. In his classes, Dr. Turner receives consistently high student evaluations, and he is known for challenging students to think deeply about their faith. Whether engaging students one-on-one in conversations about difficult biblical topics or diligently researching and writing on matters of faith, Dr. Turner is leaving his mark on a generation of TFC students.
