Last week, Toccoa Falls College was excited to celebrate our annual World Outreach Conference once again. With COVID restrictions over the past two years, we were grateful to be able to welcome missionaries and agency representatives back on campus to celebrate this conference with us.

The theme of the week was “We’re All In”. As believers, we are in full agreement with the Great Commission, and we recognize that it applies to ALL people. We explored this theme through multiple plenary sessions throughout the week. Tuesday morning, Dr. Trent DeLoach led us in community worship by discussing how God uses any and all of us very ordinary people to accomplish His ultimate objective.

On Wednesday morning, a panel of representatives were led in a Q&A session by Dr. Rick Kronk as they discussed their work in their respective fields. This panel included TFC 2021 graduate, Hailey Greene, who works as a teacher at Fugees Academy in Clarkston, GA; Ganaro Makor, a recruiter for Amplio Recruiting in Clarkston, GA; Jorge Vellejo, Team Chaplain for Atlanta United FC in Atlanta, GA; and Laurie Boden, Pediatrician at Ethne Health in Clarkston, GA. Through providing perspectives from the education, business, sports, and healthcare fields, these representatives were able to provide real-world examples of what it looks like to fulfill the Great Commission in their everyday lives.

The final plenary session was hosted by Dr. Rick Kronk, Associate Professor of Global Engagement, on Thursday morning. He emphasized for our students that calling is not a prerequisite to participating in the Great Commission. It is not a matter of if someone has been called, but where and how they will do so.

Overall, we welcomed 34 mission representatives from 23 different organizations to join us in our World Outreach Conference. They spoke with students in the student center everyday, as well as participated in our International Fair on Tuesday evening. This event brings students and mission representatives together to pray, fellowship, taste international foods, and learn more about the global work of the church. This event is always a favorite of our students each year, and we are grateful to have hosted it in-person.

We would love to once again thank everyone who joined us last week for our World Outreach Conference. We are already looking forward in anticipation for next year!
