TFC Celebrates Retirees

Toccoa Falls, GA (June 4, 2025) – TFC has been deeply enriched over the years through the wisdom and servant-hearted leadership of its faculty and staff.  In celebration of the retirement of the following employees, we extend our gratitude for their many years of dedication.

Dr. Bob Myers with retiree Jarvis Crosby

Jarvis Crosby dedicated 29 years of his life to enriching this campus. First coming to TFC as the international worker in residence from serving in the Philippines in 1984, and again in 1994-1995; returning in 1998 as a full-time faculty member, continuing in the Global Ministries Department.

His retirement plans include remaining a presence on campus as an adjunct instructor, teaching TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) courses. As well as continue serving as a Candidate Recruitment and Development Representative for the Christian & Missionary Alliance in the Toccoa / Northeast GA area.

He will also spend time participating in volunteer opportunities through his local church and community. Additionally, he enjoys outdoor activities, such as kayak fishing with friends. When asked what some of the greatest blessings experienced at TFC were, Crosby stated,

“My biggest blessings or takeaways from working at TFC have been seeing students that have sat in my classes and/or I have worked with, serving God in various types of ministries all over the world. For example, this past week, I had the privilege of seeing several former students commissioned to serve God in various ministries through the Christian and Missionary Alliance. Another blessing has been working over the years with a great group of fellow professors. The workplace was a great place to be, where I taught alongside friends who shared the same vision and passion. I anticipate these blessings to continue as I teach as an adjunct instructor.”

Nancy Hyndman’s devotion to TFC began in 2005 and continued for over 19 years. She worked in the Center for Academic Success, where she faithfully provided students with the resources they needed to thrive academically and ensured that all students had equal access to educational opportunities. Nancy also taught courses in the Ministry and Leadership Department, focusing on children’s ministries, as well as freshman composition courses in the Humanities Department.

Her retirement plans include devoting more time to church ministries and traveling.  When asked what the greatest blessings are from her time at Toccoa Falls College, she stated, “Watching students walk out their successes over the years and graduating, knowing that I was a part of that special time in their lives. Also, the family of co-workers that I was blessed to work with and be a part of – investing in the students together for a greater purpose.”

Each of these employees has made a lasting impact on the countless students who have entered their offices and classrooms. While they will remain part of our community, their daily presence on campus will be deeply missed. We at TFC are excited to see what the next chapter holds for them.
