Slate Receives Faculty Service Award

On May 9th, Toccoa Falls College presented several faculty and staff members with various awards in recognition for their excellence and service to the college. One such award was the Faculty Service Award offered by the Dean’s Office for recognition of a subtle venue of labor. It concentrates on special assistance and contribution to the larger college cause, with an emphasis on special, sacrificial service, recognized by the Academic Administration.

This year’s award was presented to Selina Slate. Selina has been with the college for 25 years and has served the library with dedication and passion, training student workers, assisting in cataloging, and championing a space for both learning and socializing in the learning process. She labors tirelessly in the advising of both online and residential students and has successfully and sacrificially led the women’s volleyball team for 24 years as coach. Selina currently resides in Stephens County.
