Toccoa Falls College will host its first ever School Counselor Workshop on Friday, February 17, 2023.

This one-day conference offers professional development for high school counselors, home study administrators, and those who assist high school students in preparation for college.

The event is completely free to attend and includes meals during the conference, relevant seminar topics, and the opportunity to connect with other field experts.

College Admissions 101: The college admissions process is ever evolving. As a school counselor, knowing how to advise students to find and apply to colleges that best fit their future is a big responsibility. This seminar will equip you with an in-depth understanding of the college admissions process to best aid your students in success.

Communication in the Digital Age: What is the most effective way to communicate with students? How can I connect and engage in meaningful and action-inducing methods? How are admissions professionals communicating with students? These are just a few of the questions that this seminar will address.

Financial Aid + Dual Enrollment: These two topics are likely some of the top questions you receive from students and families. This seminar will give you valuable insight from financial aid and dual enrollment experts on the basic facts, insights, misunderstandings, and benefits to each of these areas.

Renewal for Educators: While fulfilling, working in education can also be exhausting. This interactive workshop is designed to guide you toward experiencing renewal in your educational context. You will also leave with some tangible renewal practices to incorporate into your everyday work life.
