On Thursday, October 7th, Toccoa Falls College welcomed our Board of Trustees on campus for their fall meeting. The campus community started their day by praying over the Board, their proceedings for the day, and to give thanks for all that the Lord has done for TFC over the past year.

Later in the morning, the Board of Trustees, along with our athletic staff and players from each of our teams, convened at our athletic fields to celebrate the new addition of our athletic concessions building with a ribbon cutting ceremony. This new addition was funded completely through donors and is the fourth project in recent years that has gone towards creating and improving spaces for student recreation.

In 2017, former professor of Outdoor Leadership and Education, Rick Masters, supervised the building of a rock-climbing facility that is used for instruction in our rock climbing classes, as well as for recreational use by students. In 2018, we received full alumni-funding to add a 12-hole disc golf course on campus. This past summer, through the initiative of former SGA President and Vice President Madison Smith and Reilly McCullough, we were able to add an outdoor basketball half-court behind the Lois DeLany Athletic Center.

Beyond these wonderful additions, Toccoa Falls Athletics received a facelift of its existing facilities as well, with new press boxes for the soccer and baseball fields, floors, and wall padding in the gym. A new fence for the baseball field was also replaced last year. We are once again so thankful to be able to invest in our athletes and our larger TFC community recreationally, and we cannot wait to see what the future holds!

If you would like to make a donation to our athletic program, you can do so here and use the designation “Eagle Club”.
