Dr. BeechToccoa Falls College welcomes the new Director of Graduate Studies, Dr. Elizabeth Beech. Beth has worked in Christian higher education administration and teaching for over 17 years in various parts of the world. Prior to arriving in Toccoa Falls, she was the Academic Dean at the National Institute for Christian Education, near Sydney, Australia, where she managed an online graduate program offering Master of Education and Master of Education Leadership degrees.

Beth spent over twenty years on the mission field in Bolivia, South America. There, as she and her husband led a church plant in a rural Andean village for eight years, she homeschooled four children and continued her own graduate education with Azusa Pacific University online – when ‘online’ was in its very early stages – and her small village was without as much as a telephone!

Later, Beth joined the faculty administration of the Universidad Evangelica Boliviana in Santa Cruz, Bolivia for several years before returning to south Florida to oversee international programs at Palm Beach Atlantic University.

Beth has earned a B.A. in Sociology and Cross-cultural Communications from Asbury University, a M.A. in Social Sciences/Leadership Studies from Azusa Pacific University, and a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from Regent University. She has also completed a Master in Theological Studies (in Spanish) from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Beth’s husband, Geoff, an Aussie, is a retired academic with a Ph.D. in Education who spends his time reading, writing and publishing articles and books on the philosophy of Christian education. Between them they have seven children and nearly six grandchildren scattered across the U.S. and Australia.

Although they miss the amazing shores of Australia, they are looking forward to exploring the beautiful Smokey Mountains and Northeast Georgia.

Welcome to the Toccoa Falls College community, Dr. Beech!
