TFC entry signI am excited to welcome all our residential students back to campus for the fall semester. We have been praying for all of you as you navigate some of the changes brought about by COVID-19.

I am meeting regularly with our Cabinet and we have decided to make a schedule change for fall that we believe may keep all of our traditional students safer. Below you will see the new dates for new student activities as well as information for our returning students. This schedule change assures our traditional fall semester concludes just prior to Thanksgiving. The schedules for online programs and our graduate program remain the same and are not changed.

  • Wednesday, August 19 – New Student Move-In Day 1 (Last Name A-K)
  • Thursday, August 20 – New Student Move-In Day 2 (Last Name L-Z)
  • Friday, August 21 – Returning Student Check-In Day 1
  • Sunday, August 23 – Returning Student Check-In Day 2
  • Monday, August 24 – First Day of Classes
  • Wednesday, November 18 – Last Day of Classes
  • Thursday, November 19 – First Day of Final Exams
  • Tuesday, November 24 – Last Day of Final Exams

It is important to note that we do not have a Fall Break in this new schedule. Because the semester is shorter, we will be adding a few minutes to each class to ensure we meet the required amount of seat time for each class. This means your daily schedule will include minor changes.

We believe this schedule change brings about the greatest health advantages for traditional students. We continue to follow the recommendations of the CDC, our local health department, and medical doctors affiliated with the college.

Thank you for your flexibility as we navigate changes brought about by COVID-19. These times are certainly not what any of us expected. However, we are committed to do everything in our power to provide a safe environment for all of our TFC campus community.

Have questions? Returning students should contact studentaffairs@tfc.edu or 706-886-6831, x 5320 for help. New incoming students should contact their Admissions counselor.

We will see you in the fall!
