Men’s Basketball Win Region Championship; Women with Impressive 20 Win Season
The Toccoa Falls College Men and Women’s Basketball teams recently traveled to Kissimmee, Florida to compete in the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Region Tournament. The TFC Men’s team battled to victory and walked away with the grand title of Region Champions! Unfortunately, the #1 power ranked TFC Women’s team fell short in the final championship game. Both teams had remarkable and unprecedented seasons which continue to build an exciting future for these programs.
The Men’s Basketball team gained momentum in the tournament after defeating Bob Jones University 91-71 in the second round for the South Region. This resounding win secured their spot in the championship game that was held on Saturday, February 25th. The #1 TFC Men’s team faced #2 Trinity Baptist for the championship game and defeated the opposing Eagles 71-66. Along with the title of Region Champions, the team secured a spot to compete in the upcoming NCCAA National Tournament. Several players were also awarded Region Awards and TFC Men’s coach, Dwayne Felder, was named South Region Coach of the Year.

The championship game was hard fought, but unfortunately, the ladies fell short to #2 Pensacola Christian with a final score of 57-49.
