Toccoa Falls, GA (January 17th, 2024) – Toccoa Falls College reflects on a year of growth, achievement, and a continued commitment to its Christ-centered mission. Focused on providing exceptional education, fostering a transformative community, and promoting intentional spiritual formation, TFC reached significant milestones in 2024.

We began 2024 with recognition in the 2024 Best Institution Guide and placement in U.S. News & World Report’s 2025 Best Colleges. As students returned to campus for the spring semester, we hosted our annual World Outreach Conference and the ETS Regional Conference, where scholars gathered to share their work and engage in meaningful discussions centered on faith.

We also celebrated the completion of Phase One of the Forrest Hall renovation, marking an important milestone in the development of our campus. Our Women’s Basketball team made us proud by competing in the NCCAA National Championship, showcasing their hard work and dedication. Faculty recognition followed, with Dr. Vickers receiving the prestigious Wade Distinguished Scholar Faculty Award and Dr. Peek being presented with the Vulcan Teaching Award.

We then bid farewell to the class of 2024 and celebrated the retirement of staff members Linda Bainey, Paula Elkins, and Fred Gingrich. As summer arrived, the campus quieted down, but our staff continued working tirelessly on remodeling and renovation projects and preparation for the coming school year. We then welcomed new and returning students representing record enrollment and also welcomed new faculty members and coaches, strengthening our academic and athletic programs.

A significant highlight of the year was the Fetterman School of Nursing Class of 2024, achieving a remarkable 100% first-time pass rate on the NCLEX, setting a new TFC record. The grand opening of the new Screaming Eagle Café brought students, faculty, and staff together in celebration, and the addition of farm animals and a new hoop house to the farm added to the vibrancy of campus life.

The year ended with hosting our annual Future Scholars, where we introduced Asher Curtis as the 2024 Future Scholar. The Music Department then led us in a Christmas celebration that brought TFC and the surrounding community together for an evening of musical performances, sweets and treats by the falls, and hymn singing in Gate Cottage. As each season passed, we were filled with gratitude for the growth and transformation on our campus. As we look ahead, we remain focused on providing a transformative educational experience that equips students to live out their faith in every area of life.
