Peach State Federal Credit Union has created a $3,000 scholarship to assist students at Toccoa Falls College who are pursuing a degree in the field of Teacher Education. One student in the School of Teacher Education will be awarded the $500 scholarship each semester for the next three years. Recipient Amy Larson is a junior at Toccoa Falls College majoring in Middle Grades Education. She is originally from Alexandria, Minnesota and is the daughter of Carl and Lori Larson.

“We are very grateful to Peach State Federal Credit Union for supporting our teacher candidates as they strive for excellence in future classrooms and to make their mark as professional educators,” said Donna Gardner, the Chair for the Teacher Education Department at Toccoa Falls College. “We are very proud of our teacher preparation, and the many graduates who have made a lasting impact in classrooms in Georgia and around the world.”

The Teacher Education Department offers six majors including Early Childhood (preschool-grade 5), Middle Grades (grades 4-8), Music Education (grades K-12), English Education, History Education and Broad Field Science Education (grades 6-12).
