Historic Documents Framed: Commissioned By Local Studio

Toccoa Falls, GA. (April 11, 2025) – In advancing the Toccoa Falls College Museum and Archives, TFC recently commissioned the framing of two historic documents with Troup’s Studio and Gifts.
The first document is the Abstract of the Falls Tract of Land created in 1905 when Stephens County was first created out of Franklin and Habersham Counties. It documents the proprietorship of the Falls Tract following the Revolution through 1905. It is believed this original Abstract was safely stored in the safe when the Haddock Inn burned in 1913.
The second document is the survey of the Falls Tract platted in 1945 by M. B. Collier, County Surveyor. It is based on prior plat surveys from 1911 through 1943 and records several local family names.
These documents will eventually be on display in the Toccoa Falls College Museum. Toccoa Falls College appreciates Troup’s Studio and Gifts for their support and encouragement with this project.
TFC has a history steeped in overcoming tragedy, rebuilding from fire and flood. The restoration and framing of these documents is just another reminder that God has His hand on Toccoa Falls, Georgia. For more information on the astounding story of Toccoa Falls College, visit tfc.edu/history.
