Heringer Receives Faculty Scholar of the Year Award
On May 9th, Toccoa Falls College presented several faculty and staff members with various awards in recognition for their excellence and service to the college. One such award was the Faculty Scholar of the Year Award which goes to a faculty member for scholarship in their field.
This year’s award was presented to Dr. Seth Heringer, Assistant Professor of Theology and Scripture. Heringer demonstrated scholarship with the publication of Worlds Colliding: A Theological Critique of the Historical Method. Additionally, he has presented at scholarly conference works such as “Picturing Textual Criticism: Using Digital Images to Capture Student Attention,” “The Telos of Theological Education,” “Recovering Typological Exegesis: Is It Still Possible?” and “Moving beyond Abstraction in Teaching Textual Criticism.” Dr. Heringer currently resides in Habersham County.
