The fall 2022 semester at Toccoa Falls College has been packed with so many exciting events, in-depth learning, and lasting memories. It would be impossible to share all of the things that have made this semester so wonderful, but here are a few of the highlights:

TFC HITS HIGHEST TOTAL ENROLLMENT IN SCHOOL HISTORY

This fall, TFC celebrated a total enrollment of over 2,000 students for the first time in its 115 year history. The final enrollment figure for fall 2022 was 2,050 students which includes on-campus, online, graduate, and dual enrollment students. We are proud that students are discovering Toccoa Falls College as The Christian College of Georgia and are choosing to develop character with intellect during their time here.

SCHOOL OF GRADUATE STUDIES NAMED IN HONOR OF GARY & KAROLYN CHAPMAN

TFC launched its first ever graduate program in the fall of 2020. Two years later, the graduate program has expanded to include four different academic options with more programs on the way. This growth has been made possible by the generosity of Gary D. Chapman, the renowned author of The Five Love Languages, and his wife, Karolyn J. Chapman. In October, the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Chapman School of Graduate Studies was held to honor the exciting developments and accomplishments of the graduate school so far.

WOMEN’S SOCCER PLACES 3RD IN NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

There is nothing quite like being a Screaming Eagle athlete and fan. This year, all of our fall sports wrapped up with impressive seasons, and our Women’s Soccer team placed third in the NCCAA Women’s Soccer DII National Championship. This accomplishment was preceded by winning the South Region Championship. Way to go ladies on such a title season!

STUDENT AFFAIRS ADDS STUDENT CHAPLAINS

The Division of Student Affairs at TFC is always searching for ways to improve the campus experience and develop leadership competencies within the lives of students. This fall, two Student Chaplain positions in Spiritual Formation were added. These roles allow TFC to continue to expand the special community that exists here. Student Chaplains assist with community worship, discipleship, and being a voice for spiritual development.

TFC HOSTS LEADERSHIP SUMMIT WITH FORMER US ATTORNEY GENERAL

In November, Toccoa Falls College hosted a Leadership Summit for local high school students along with current TFC students. This Summit featured former US Attorney General, John Ashcroft, along with other key national leadership figures. This inaugural Leadership Summit was so successful that it has paved the way for this event to become a TFC staple.

What a magnificent semester it has been at Toccoa Falls College. Thank you to all of the faculty, staff, leadership, individuals, departments, and students who have made Fall 2022 one for the books!
