As students are making college choices, one of the most valuable tools in their decision making process is visiting and experiencing the schools in which they are interested. To aid in displaying the unique campus of Toccoa Falls College, the Office of Admissions hosted a preview event called Explore TFC Day on September 25th. This Saturday event was open to all high school grade levels, and parents and students were invited to come on campus for the day. Starting off with a time of worship, guests were treated to the talents of current students and alumni from the Music Department. This time set a tone for prayerful consideration as families moved through campus. Following this time, groups were taken across campus on a tour to see residence halls, classrooms, and athletic facilities. After the tours, parents and students were split for two different sessions. Students headed to sample classes that professors held in order to give prospective students a taste of academic life even on a Saturday. While students took to the classroom, parents were given an in-depth look at financial aid with Assistant Vice-President of Enrollment and Marketing, Ronnie Stewart. By looking at all federal, state, and institutional options for financial aid, Ronnie’s primary message to parents was TFC’s willingness to work closely with families to make TFC affordable for their students.

After these sessions, parents, students, and staff came together over lunch in the dining hall then headed to Grace Chapel for a question and answer panel. This panel consisted of a current student as well as staff representatives from an array of departments. This question and answer time was open to parents and students to ask any and all questions about admissions, campus life, spiritual formation on campus, and any other part of the TFC experience. As the question and answer panel wrapped up, families were invited to stay on campus for a Valley Farm tour or attending the soccer games on-campus. In just a few hours, prospective students saw a variety of aspects of the vibrant and spiritually rich campus.

Coming up on campus is the Future Scholars two-day event for high school seniors. Over these two days, one student will be chosen for a full-ride scholarship to TFC. For more information and to register, click here: https://tfc.edu/admissions/visit-campus/fs/
