Toccoa Falls College launched a new Education Track within the Dual Enrollment program to allow high school students who are interested in pursuing education as a career to get a head start on their future.

The Dual Enrollment Education Track features 30 credit hours toward a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Elementary Education, Middle Grades Education, or Secondary Education in English, History, or Science.

Courses available within this track include general education classes such as Freshman Composition I, Freshman Composition II, American Literature, World History, Developmental Psychology, and General College Math. In addition to this, students have the option to pick five course of interest within the education field. Options for these classes include: Foundations and Trends in Education, Technology for Teachers, Diversity in Education, The Exceptional Learner, and Grammar for Teachers.  All courses offered within the Education Track earn both high school and college credit and can be taken either online or on-campus.

Toccoa Falls College holds the highest level of accreditation through the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges which provides not only a premier academic experience, but also valuable college credit that can be transferred to most institutions.* For eligible high school students in the state of Georgia, approved TFC courses can be taken free of charge through the state’s Dual Enrollment program.
