The Ministry and Leadership Department is excited to see construction begin on their new Student Lounge! Thanks to the generous donations of alumni, family and friends of the college, the goal of $5,500 needed to fund the project was recently met.

For over 50 years, the Ministry and Leadership Department (formerly the Christian Education Department) has been preparing hundreds of men and women for leadership roles in ministry and faith-based organizations. Each day scores of students come through the Ministry and Leadership Center on their way to classes. Due to the location of the building on campus, this can be a small trek for students lugging textbooks – especially when they have multiple classes on the same day. So the MLD developed plans to repurpose a former photography dark room into a lounge for the students allowing them a place to rest between classes, fellowship with each other, study from a small library of resources, and cover practical needs of internet and charging receptacles.

Completion of the project is expected to take approximately 3 weeks. Again, the college would like to extend our deepest appreciation to all those who donated to the project and made it a reality.
