Gary D. and Karolyn J. Chapman School of Graduate Studies Ribbon-Cutting Celebrated
Today, October 6th, 2022, Toccoa Falls College celebrated the official ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Gary D. and Karolyn J. Chapman School of Graduate Studies. This ceremony was an exciting event marking a vision many years in the making becoming a reality. TFC is grateful for the prayers, commitment, time, and resources that have been devoted to the graduate program by so many over the past few years, and especially honored by the dedication and generosity of the Chapmans.
The celebratory event featured an unveiling of the new sign honoring donors Gary D. and Karolyn J. Chapman, who the School of Graduate Studies is now named after. College president, Dr. Robert Myers, noted how this moment all began in 2015 when Gary Chapman joined Toccoa Falls College as the 2015 Commencement speaker.
Following this, the Chapmans shared comments regarding their passions and service to the Kingdom of God and how the graduate programs at Toccoa Falls College will continue to be an extension of that. Dr. Myers and the Board of Trustee members then joined the Chapmans for the ribbon-cutting moment. Many cheers erupted from a large crowd attending of faculty, staff, students, and community members alike.
The ceremony concluded with a prayer of dedication from CDR Paul N. Rumery in praise and petition for what has been and what will be through the Gary D. and Karolyn J. Chapman School of Graduate Studies. A reception was hosted in the newly renovated building that will now house all graduate programs.
Toccoa Falls College officially launched its graduate programs in fall of 2020 by introducing the Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership. In the two years since, the graduate program has grown to include a prestigious Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy, alongside a graduate certificate in Trauma Therapy, as well as a Master of Arts in Counseling Ministries.
Toccoa Falls College looks forward to the many ways that the Gary D. and Karolyn J. Chapman School of Graduate Studies will be used in accomplishing the development of godly character with intellect and invites anyone who is interested in furthering their education at the graduate level to consider TFC.
