The Toccoa Falls College Jazz Band and The Toccoa Jazz are bringing their much-anticipated yearly collaboration, Jazz at the Ritz, back to the Historic Ritz Theatre for a free concert on Friday, April 16, at 7:00 p.m.

A variety of jazz standards will be performed by both bands, which will combine for the last two vocal numbers – spoofs on the coronavirus – that you won’t want to miss!

The vocal soloists include David Jones, Professor of Music at Toccoa Falls College, and DeLisa Christ of The Toccoa Jazz.

The 2020 Jazz at the Ritz performance unexpectedly ended up being the last show of the 2019-2020 Night at the Ritz series due to the on-set of the COVID-19 pandemic.  According to Ritz Theatre General Manager Tami Mayhugh, while CDC guidelines and limited seating are still in place at the theatre, she is excited to host this night of jazz once again.

Jazz at the Ritz is part of the Historic Ritz Theatre’s regular Night at the Ritz concert series, which is funded in part by grants received from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Georgia Council for the Arts.

Admission is free for this Night at the Ritz performance, however, seating is limited to the first 150 patrons.

If you want to reserve seats for Friday nights’ concert, email Yurii at yhenriques@tfc.edu before Thursday.  First come, first served!
