9:00 a.m. Homecoming Golf Tournament – The Links at Lake Toccoa. The 18-hole tournament is a two-person Lauderdale format with a shotgun start. Fee includes green fees, cart, golf balls, TFC logo towel and tees, lunch at Ping’s Grill, and prizes. Cost is $40.00 per golfer.
1:00 – 6:00 p.m. – On-Site Registration – Office of Advancement. Make this your first stop when you arrive on campus. You will be able to check in for the weekend, pick up your name badge, browse through yearbooks, and more.
5:00-6:30 p.m. – Homecoming Tailgate Picnic – Soccer and Baseball Pavilion. Now in its 14th year, this event has become an annual tradition. Good food for alumni, students, guests, and the entire Toccoa Falls family. We will have a tent set up with tables and chairs for all to enjoy! Cost is $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for children ages 6-10 through September 30. Beginning October 1, prices increase to $12 for adults and $7.00 for children ages 6-10. (ages 5 & under eat free)
6:00 p.m. – Men’s Varsity Soccer Game – TFC vs. TBA
7:30 p.m. – Hymn Sing and Bonfire – field next to Print Shop. Join Dr. Tom Council, fellow alumni, and students to enjoy a time of fellowship singing hymns of the church. There will be seating available, but feel free to bring along a lawn chair.
8:30 – 10:00 p.m. – TFC Sweets & Treats – tent on field next to Lois DeLany Athletic Center. Join us for this oh so yummy and fun event! We will have candy, kettle corn, root beer and coke floats, boiled peanuts, fried Oreos, and more! You will leave with a happy belly following this sweet time of fellowship.
Saturday, October 12
8:00 a.m. – Homecoming 5K – Gate Cottage. This year is the 27th annual 5K run (or walk) through campus. Cost is $20.00 and includes a t-shirt.
9:00 a.m. – Alumni Breakfast – Lois DeLany Athletic Center. Reunion classes ending in “4” and “9” will be recognized, the reunion choir will be singing, and alumni awards will be presented. Cost is $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for children ages 6-10 through September 30. Beginning October 1, prices increase to $12 for adults and $7.00 for children ages 6-10. (ages 5 & under eat free) There will be coffee available in the lobby beginning at 8:15 a.m., doors open at 8:45 a.m.
11:00 a.m. – Alumni Soccer Game –This is an opportunity for former, current, and future Screaming Eagles to come together around the game they love. A small-sided soccer tournament will take place with all who are able to attend. Teams will be divided based upon registration.
12:30 p.m. – High School/Academy Reunion Luncheon – Gate Cottage Restaurant. Join your fellow high school grads for a delicious lunch buffet followed by an open mic time to reminisce. Cost is $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for children ages 6-10 through September 30. Beginning October 1, prices increase to $12 for adults and $7.00 for children ages 6-10. (ages 5 & under eat free)
1:00 p.m. – Duck Race – Meet at the bridge by Gate Cottage. Come cheer your duck to victory as it races down the creek. Prizes will be awarded. Cost is $1.00 per duck.
2:00-5:00 p.m. – Gathany Museum Open – the museum houses displays of mounted mammals, birds, prehistoric fossils, and more, from Leon and Rachel Gathany’s collections.
2:00-5:00 p.m. – Motorcycle Benefit Ride – Meet in the parking lot behind the Lois DeLany Athletic Center. The ride will be approximately 3 hours of cruising through Northeast Georgia in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Stops along the way will highlight some of the natural beauty that we will be riding through. Suggested minimum donations are $25.00 per motorcycle although anyone may join the ride. Donors will be entered to win prizes for furthest riders, a riding game, and best-bike, which will be voted on by BBQ participants at the end of the ride.
2:30 p.m. – Hike to Little Falls – meet at the Bell in the center of campus. Current students will join with alumni for a hike to Little Falls.
4:00 p.m. – Alumni vs. Faculty/Staff Softball Game – TFC Baseball Field. Come out to the 2nd annual alumni vs. faculty/staff softball game and cheer on your favorite team.
5:30-8:30 p.m. – Festival on the Field – Tent on field next to Lois DeLany Athletic Center. A BBQ dinner will be served at the tent. There will be inflatables and lawn games for all ages beginning at 5:30 p.m. We will have musical entertainment by the college Jazz Band beginning at 7:15 p.m. There will be seating available, but feel free to bring along a lawn chair. Cost is $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for children ages 6-10 through September 30. Beginning October 1, prices increase to $12 for adults and $7.00 for children ages 6-10. (ages 5 & under eat free)
6:30 p.m. – Men’s Alumni Basketball Game – Lois DeLany Athletic Center. See our varsity athletes take on former players. Come cheer your team on to victory!
7:00 p.m. – Crowning of Homecoming Queen – halftime of the Men’s Alumni Basketball game
8:30-10:00 p.m. – Coffee at the Falls – come to Gate Cottage and enjoy a hot drink, a sweet treat, and see Toccoa Falls in lights.
