Dr. Robert M. Myers currently serves as the 7th President of Toccoa Falls College. Dr. Myers frequently speaks and writes about the elements of Godly character and Christian worldview. He holds a B.S in Information Systems Management from University of Maryland, a M.B.A from Palm Beach Atlantic University and a D.B.A from Nova Southeastern University. He is the author of, “No Compromise: Thoughts from a Christian College President”, and served as regular blogger for The Huffington Post.

Dr. Myers has served as a manuscript reviewer for the Academy of Management (Management History Division), a textbook reviewer for McGraw-Hill, and has been published in a variety of journals such as Informatica, Management Decision, The Journal of the Association of Marketing Educators, Florida Banker, and the proceedings of many national and international conferences.

Dr. Myers serves as a chair for visiting teams for the Southern Association of Colleges and School Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). He also assists in the training of new SACSCOC visiting team chairpersons.

Dr. Myers has been interviewed by many outlets regarding Christian worldview and college leadership. Dr. Myers has appeared on Fox news Fox and Friends and has been interviewed on many other local, regional, and national media outlets.

Dr. Myers has always been active in his local community serving on numerous corporate boards. A sample of his community service include the following:

  • Service on the Cherokee Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
  • Board member for the Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Palm Beach County.
  • Board of Commissioners for the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education.
  • Board service and instructor for the American Red Cross.
  • Board service for the Toccoa/Stephens County Chamber of Commerce.
  • Chairperson for the Board of the Georgia Independent College Association (GICA).

Dr. Myers served for 12 years as a police officer in the State of Maryland. During his time as a police officer he served as a patrol officer, field training officer, polygraph examiner, hostage negotiator, and a detective assigned to the Crimes Against Person division. Dr. Myers also served as a nationally registered EMT.  He also holds a black belt in Tae Kwon Do.

Dr. Myers has served in Christian higher education for thirty years. During that time, he has served as a faculty member, Dean of a School of Business, and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs. Dr. Myers is married to Cheri, and they have two grown children, Joshua and Joy.
