2018 Wellness Challenge

2018 WELLNESS CHALLENGE

WHO: All Students
WHAT: Pursue Wellness for 2 weeks and enter/turn in your name confirming (by honor system) that you have pursued wellness according to the following criteria
WHEN: February 26th-March 9th
WHERE: Everywhere
HOW…MUCH: $50 Amazon Gift Card awarded during chapel on the 14th (Spring Break is Friday!!)
ARE YOU IN??

Exercise 30 minutes at least 5 times a week

Get at least 6-8 hours of sleep each night 5 nights/week

Decrease your caffeine intake by at least one drink (8 ounces) serving daily

Drink at least 32 ounces of water 5 days/ week

Consciously make healthier decisions in your food intake:

  • increasing fiber intake
  • decreasing sugar intake
  • choosing low fat meats
  • choosing complex carbohydrates

Spend time (intentionally) with God every day

Plan ahead to stay on top of your academic requirements

Become more aware of your emotional health by:

  • finding someone to talk to if feeling down, discouraged, frustrated,   etc.
  • communicating rather than stuffing emotions
  • choosing healthy outlets

Attend one college activity per week (ball game, club or dorm activity, etc.)

Recycle your bottles, cans and paper.

If  you are already doing these things—keep it up and enter your name!

Entry cards can be picked up in the Student Wellness Center (Fant Basement) beginning Monday, March 5th. To enter your name/card in the drawing, come by the Student Wellness Center by 9:00 a.m., on Wednesday, March 14th, and drop it “in the hat.”

$50 AMAZON GIFT CARD WILL BE AWARDED TO WINNER ON MARCH 14TH IN CHAPEL.
