Pre-Teacher Education Plan - Toccoa Falls College | The Christian College of Georgia

The Teacher Education department equips future servant leaders with knowledge of the diverse learners and content they will teach, skills in planning instruction, assessing, and managing, as well as character reflecting appropriate interaction with the school community, life-long learning, and a calling as a Christian servant leader with a Biblical worldview for kingdom service. The Online Pre-Teacher Education Plan allows students to complete their core requirements online before entering into the residential Teacher Education program.

“I am so thankful for the Teacher Education program at Toccoa Falls College and the specific ways the program prepared me to become an educator. I had the opportunity to participate in field experiences in various school systems and grades throughout my time in the program, so that by the time I graduated I felt I had gained important skills that would help me succeed in the educational field. In the Elementary Education program I loved that we had small classes and cohorts. We were able to support each other and learn in a way that is completely unique to TFC. My advisor, mentor teacher, and Elementary Education cohort worked closely with me and were instrumental influences that allowed me to pursue my passion for education. I currently teach fourth grade and absolutely love what I do. The Online Pre-Education Plan offers students the opportunity to complete several General Education and concentration courses before transitioning to one of our residential Teacher Education programs. The Online Pre-Education Plan does not result in a degree; it is specifically designed for students who intend to transition into a residential program.
