This course introduces students to the concepts of developmentally appropriate practice in Early Childhood Education. Students will focus on the developmental characteristics of young children and examine diverse methods, resources, and environments necessary to support a developmentally and culturally responsive early childhood classroom. Students will begin planning lessons and implementing them through reflective teaching exercises. Prerequisite: 2.7 GPA, EDU 133. Must be taken in the same semester as EDC 223 Curriculum & Assessment and EDU 211 Field Experience I.
