Quote from a graduate:
“My degree [in Cross-cultural Adult Education] has pulled job offers from Indonesia and China to South Africa. I now live in South Africa and work for an NGO (Non-Government Organization) which provides a variety of community development and poverty alleviation initiatives to formerly disenfranchised communities. We work to try and elevate communities which had been devastated by a military regime that ran the country 3 decades ago. My degree gave me the opportunity to be considered for the position I now fill.
A degree in cross-cultural adult education gives you the specifics to be understood and selected for specific jobs. But it also gives you a broad degree that can fit into a plethora of career paths. With this degree you can work with the poorest of the poor, or wealthy businessmen, you can move around and experience a wide range of opportunity not seen with many other career choices. It is a degree I will forever appreciate for what it gives you and allows you to give to others” (Jordan, 2017).
