Biblical Studies

Students in the Biblical Studies major are equipped with knowledge, skill, and character pertinent to detailed knowledge of Old and New Testament literature, with advanced skills in personal and practical application of biblical principles, and with fundamental skills in research, writing, and presentation of material appropriate to students professional goals. Students will not only gain a basic understanding of biblical literature beyond the general knowledge provided in TFC’s core classes, but students will learn to analyze and critically evaluate ideas and arguments relevant both in historical theology, and in today’s current climate. Students will learn to apply course material to the formation of Christian beliefs and values, adequately preparing them with the skills needed to progress to graduate level work in the areas of pastoral ministry, teaching, and other Christian ministries.
