Toccoa Falls College is excited to announce Dr. Daniel Doriani will deliver the college’s Baccalaureate address on Friday, May 18, 2018.  Dr. Doriani is Vice President of Strategic Initiatives and Professor of Theology at Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri. He holds a BA from Geneva College, STM (Master of Sacred Theology) from Yale University, and a M.Div. and Ph.D. from Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia, PA.

Dr. Doriani has served two decades in evangelical churches with the Presbyterian Church in America. He regularly speaks at conferences in the US and in nations such as Albania, Austria, Australia, Bahamas, Brazil, Hungary, India, Israel, South Korea, and Ukraine.

He is author of The Life of a God-Made Man (Crossway, 2001), Women and Ministry: What the Bible Teaches (Crossway, 2003), and The Sermon on the Mount: The Character of a Disciple (P&R, 2006). His well-known book Getting the Message: A Plan for Interpreting and Understanding the Bible (P&R, 1996) is used widely for understanding scripture, including by Hermeneutics students at Toccoa Falls College. Along with other books, Dr. Doriani has published research in numerous journals and other book chapters.

In an age in which gender, marriage, and Christian identity seems to be in peril, Dr. Doriani has championed a biblical view of these issues with unwavering faithfulness. His lifelong ministry particularly centers on pastoral ethics, strengthening the important role that pastors have in the life of the church for us all.

The Toccoa Falls College Baccalaureate Ceremony will be Friday, May 18, 2018 at 7:30 pm in the Grace Chapel and Performing Arts Center. A private reception for graduates and their families hosted by TFC President Dr. and Mrs. Bob Myers, will follow in the Lois DeLany Athletic Center.
