Thursday, October 5th, the Fetterman School of Nursing, held its first annual Nurse Coating Ceremony. The night marked an important step forward in the lives of first year nursing students.  Over 150 family members, friends and guests were part of the historic festivities. Dean Deborah Alvater spoke on the commitment to their calling before presenting the twenty-one nursing students with the coveted white coat along with their Nightingale Lamp.

In special appreciation for all their work and support in making the Fetterman School of Nursing a reality, special honorary white coats were also presented to President Dr. Bob Myers, Provost Dr. Brian Shelton and Dr. Kieran Clements, Dean of School of Arts & Sciences.
