Student Health Services

Student Health Services is your go-to place to receive guidance on physical ailments and advice on living a healthy lifestyle. Services include consultations, wellness plans and assistance in scheduling appointments with local physicians. We can treat minor conditions and injuries and will refer students to appropriate community resources if necessary. Over the counter medications and first aid supplies are available in Student Health Services. If an on-campus student has a medical need or emergency outside of regular office hours, he/she should feel comfortable contacting the Resident Assistant or Resident Director on-call. Students may also contact Campus Security at ext. 5444, or dial 911.

Location and Hours
We are located on the lower floor of Fant Hall.

“Congratulations! You have been accepted into Toccoa Falls College!” Words you have been waiting for. The next steps to get ready for check-in day are before you. Among other things, there are health requirements to take care of. Attention to these items before arriving on campus will greatly expedite your check-in process.

First, complete the Medical History Form. Be prepared with your immunization record since there are some important vaccines required before admittance to TFC. Most of these are common childhood immunizations and it is likely that you have already received most if not all of them. The required immunizations are:

  • Hepatitis B – 3 doses
  • Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) – 2 doses
  • Varicella (Chicken Pox) – 2 doses (unless you have history of the chicken pox illness)
  • Tetanus booster within the last 10 years
  • Meningitis vaccine – This is not required but STRONGLY RECOMMENDED especially if you are planning to live on campus. If you choose not to receive the meningitis vaccine you MUST read, sign and turn in a Meningitis Waiver.

Second, part of the Medical History Form includes 3 Tuberculosis Screening questions. If you answer “Yes” to any of these questions, please have your healthcare provider complete the Tuberculosis Screening Form. This may or may not include a TB test. Please submit this form and TB test results to Student Health Services.

If you have any questions regarding health requirements, please contact Student Health Services at or (706) 886-7299 ext. 5304 or 5306.
