Frequently Asked Questions for Posting a Job or Internship

I have job or internship opening at my company, how do I post it?

Job and Internship postings may be listed on our public job board. Just go to the employer posting page (https://www.collegecentral.com/tfc/Employer.cfm). If you have not yet created an account, you may do so free of charge. There is no charge to post to our Web site.

Who views the postings?

Students and Alumni have access to our job postings program CollegeCentral.com. Every student at TFC is registered for access to all postings. This activity makes our posting site one of the most used electronic resources at the college.

Who can post on the site?

Any employer or individual who needs to fill a particular position, whether it be a nanny position with a private family, or an MBA position in a corporation, we allow for a wide range of occupations and jobs. However, the employer must agree to the terms of use.

Do I need to identify my company?

According to the terms of use, employers must identify themselves in the posting or by making contact with the Career Development Center. The only exceptions are private families looking to hire someone to assist them in a nanny position for example. They may identify themselves as “Private Family” as long as the job description job is complete.

Staffing companies, or third party recruiters, may be exempt from this requirement if they describe their recruiting practice in the company description, and send a copy of their marketing materials to the Career Development Center for students to review.

The guidelines are in place to allow our students and alumni the chance to research the company before applying. The guidelines also comply with those set forth by the National Association of Colleges and Employers.

How long will my posting be visible?

Typically positions are posted for three weeks (21 days) though they can have a deadline up to six months (180 days) from the date the position was posted or last modified. You can choose what ever date you wish from the day you post to 6 months out. You may always repost or extend the deadline at a later date.

May I delete or modify my position after I post it?

You may delete or modify your position at any time by logging into your account. We ask that you remove your position within 48 hours of filling it if the deadline has not already passed.

How often may I post?

As often as you want. By logging into your account you may also choose to copy current postings to market a similar position, repost old positions, and view the number of times your positions were viewed by the TFC community.

How do I get started?

First you will need to create your user account. Then you may post your positions immediately. It takes less than 5 minutes! Just visit our account creation page!
